Meet your Therapist

My name is Kim Nguyen and I am a Texas Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I am passionate about supporting AAPI women and couples as they navigate the complexities of family expectations, cultural identity, relationships, and life transitions. I understand the unique tension that can arise between honoring one's family, culture, and community while also creating a life that feels authentic and aligned with personal values. Therapy can be a space to explore these nuances with curiosity, compassion, and intention.

Using a steady, attuned, and at times playful approach, I help clients better understand themselves and clarify what matters most. I primarily work from a person-centered perspective and integrate Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to meet each client's unique needs and goals. My areas of interest include cultural identity, intergenerational trauma, relational concerns, perfectionism, motherhood and life transitions. Whether you are seeking greater harmony in your family or romantic relationships, navigating bicultural identity, or working toward a more grounded sense of self, I am committed to supporting your growth in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.

I strive to create a therapeutic space where all parts of your identity are welcomed and where you can explore your experiences without judgment. My hope is that our work together helps you cultivate deeper self-trust and build a legacy that reflects your deepest values—not only for yourself, but for future generations.

Like tea passed through generations, we inherit values, stories, expectations, and wounds. My work helps clients discern what to preserve, what to transform, and what legacy they want to create.

“Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day whispering, 'I will try again tomorrow.”
